"Ooo, I can't stand this anymore!" Stated Amelia as she slammed the wooden door led to the luxurious room she shared with her twin sister as hard as she could, and marched across the room to land her small figure onto the double bed.

"What's wrong now, Ame?" Emilia closed the half-reading book in her hands and put it on the neat desk by her side. She calmly watched her younger sister buried her face into the fluffy white pillow, silently sighed.

"I hate this boring life! I hate this place! And I also hate Father and Mother!" Amelia screamed through the fabric. "And I know you're having the same thought with me, Emi."

"Please watch your words. Such hating and complaining shouldn't be shouted out simply like that."

"Oh please, isn't this irritating enough?" The younger sat up in her position, eyeing Emilia. "Tell me, you also dislike the situation we're in, right? Being locked up in this stupid place and being forced to study the things that are completely useless. Repeated day by day, nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing!"

"... Maybe. But listen Ame, this is what Father and Mother need to do in order to brighten our future. You know well, that all the things we have been doing until now will help us a lot in the time ahead. Knowledge is never useless." Emilia said exactly what she had always said to Amelia whenever the girl was pissed off by the monotonous way of life. And that usually worked every time with Amelia pouted in silent and went to sleep. "And more than that, this is our home, not any stupid place."

However, to Emilia's surprise, it didn't seem to lighten the atmosphere this time.

Amelia frowned deeply. Not for the first time in her life, she saw the flaw in her matured and thoughtful sister's explanation. Maybe in several times before, she had pretended to be persuaded, for her dear sister's sake, but not now, not this time. Not anymore. She was tired of everything that were always the same. She was tired of seeing Emilia occasionally woke up at midnight to head over the glass window and stood there for hours, knowing that both her sister and herself felt intensely lonely. She was tired of being unable to do anything.

"Emi, you've always been right about everything. However, I have to say that you're wrong this time. So wrong, and you know that deep inside!" Amelia said in an even tone, so lack of the usual naughty hint.

Emilia looked at her younger twin, disbelief in her pretty cyan eyes. She would never think Amelia would talk to her like that. "Ame..."

"They don't have any right to keep us away from the world just because they don't have faith in us. They don't see us as their daughters, but more like their puppets which they try to use the best by training us in their way! Not once notice our feelings!"

"They’re our parents. We owe them our lives." Emilia replied, trying to keep her voice calm and cool.

"That is not the matter here. Argh! Damn it!" Amelia cursed as she finished her sentence angrily and stormed out of the room without bothering to see her sister's reaction. She knew she couldn't win against Emilia when it came to a right or wrong argument. And she knew if she continued, she would begin to pouring more bad words.

Running along the seemingly endless hall, fluffy pink ponytails wavering in sync with each step she took, the petite girl skidded to a halt in front of a case of stair hidden behind the corner and climbed up, to the attic of the mansion. There, she would open the small window and make her way onto the roof. She liked it here, high in the air, a bit dangerous but too perfect for her. This was somewhere secret she could run to and hide herself when she felt scared or irritated or just simply wanted to be alone. Even Emilia didn't know this, or if she did know, she never stated.

Amelia sat down on the brick roof under the vast starry sky. No sign of cloud could be seen, and the crescent moon sitting peacefully yet lonely in between thousands of stars.

"Maybe we are both isolated in our own realm?"

She recalled Emilia's answer when she compared her with the moon. She saw the similarity between them. And yes, isolation was one of the reasons, but more than that, she could see the brightful halo radiated by her sister and the gentleness of hers weren't different from the moon's at all. That was why she told Emilia was such an incredible person.

Sixteen years long, they had to live a life inside a glass cage, imprisoned by their own parents. No friend to talk, no fun thing to enjoy. This mansion was incredibly huge and had lots of rooms and halls, so no matter how many housemaids, butlers or tutors came to their house, the place still remained silent. No soul could be seen around them besides study hours and meals time.

They were lonely in this house. They craved for love, for freedom, for anything outside this tedious mansion. She was the thirsty one, to be exact, while Emilia was so good at bearing that she wouldn't speak up what she really thought. But Amelia knew, because they were twins after all.

The young girl lifted her head to face the sky, thinking of what interesting thing that could drew Emilia's attention all night long, day after day. True to be told, it was beautiful and halcyon here. But for an active type of person she was, Amelia found sitting at a spot for hours to watch a scenery was too boring. Anyway, she still spent her off-temper period at this place and actually could calm herself down and think through everything.

She didn't want her days passed by with boredom like this any longer. She had grown up and got to know that she was the one who could decide her life, not her parents, not even Emilia. She desired a change. But what she could do to achive her wish within this spacious place which she was complied to stay in, yet so small compared to the real brightful world.

Leave. Escape from this place. And start a new life out there.

Wasn't that a great idea?

It started to get cold as night moved to the mid-stage. And Amelia felt the sleepiness threatened to take over her if she kept sticking to the roof because of those gentle breezes brushed against her small body. So she came to the decision of heading back to her room, betting Emilia was still awake, both to wait for her and to gaze at the sky as the habit she always did every night.

Amelia wondered if she told her sister about the idea, would she agree with it? Of course she would. Amelia was sure of that. Because she understood more than anyone that Emilia was longing for an escape at the bottom of her heart, just like her.
